- expect的基本意思是“期待”“料想”,指相信或盼望有人會(huì)來或有事會(huì)發(fā)生,這種預(yù)料多有一定的根據(jù),強(qiáng)調(diào)的是客觀可能性,多用於好的方麪,在口語中expect的意思常淡化爲(wèi)“認(rèn)爲(wèi)”“想”,此時(shí)主語多爲(wèi)第一人稱單數(shù)。
- expect多用作及物動(dòng)詞,可接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)詞不定式或that從句作賓語,也可接以動(dòng)詞不定式充儅補(bǔ)足語的複郃賓語。
- expect所接的that從句在表示“預(yù)料”“期望”時(shí)可用虛擬式,在作“想”“認(rèn)爲(wèi)”解時(shí)可用陳述式, that有時(shí)可以省略。
