- 15世紀(jì)初期進(jìn)入英語(yǔ),直接源自拉丁語(yǔ)的notitia,意為知名的人,著名,知識(shí)。
用法辨析
- notice的基本意思是“布告,通告,啟示”,指用以宣傳某事的發(fā)生或傳達(dá)某種指示的通知。也可指“預(yù)告,通知”,即告訴某人某事即將發(fā)生。notice還可指提醒某人對(duì)某事引起“注意”。引申可指“評(píng)價(jià),短評(píng)”。
- give notice和have notice中的notice,通常指離職、辭職或解雇等的“通知”,當(dāng)have notice和give notice后面帶有動(dòng)詞不定式時(shí), notice前有時(shí)可加不定冠詞a。
