用法辨析
- assert的基本意思是“堅持”“斷言”,即做主觀的、自信的、有說服力的闡述。這種“主張”或“斷言”盡管有時并無憑據(jù),但是要讓別人相信自己的話是有依據(jù)的,或要別人對憑據(jù)感興趣。
- assert是及物動詞,接名詞或名詞性從句作賓語,也可以接“to be+ n./adj. ”作補足語的復合賓語。
- 注意區(qū)分assert和declare:He asserted that he was innocent. 他申明他是無辜的.He asserted that his sister was innocent. 以上表達方式是正確的。He asserted himself to be innocent. 該表達方式是錯誤,應(yīng)改為He declared himself (to be) innocent。
