Generally, the gage is put in the atmosphere, it can only measure the difference between the absolute pressure and local atmospheric pressure. It can not give out the absolute pressure.

There is no connection between the pressure measurement of the absolute pressure gauge and the fluctuation of the atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the gauge is suitable for measuring gas and liquid.
