AIM: To monitor the changes of total systemic vascular resistance (TSVR) and stroke volume (SV) during fluid therapy by transesophageal echo Doppler and to explore the correlation between TSVR and SV.

Results: Heart rate(HR)in Carvedilol group were significantly lower than those in control group (P＜0.01). The LV ejection fraction (LVEF), stroke volume (SV) and E/A were significantly higher than those in control group (P＜0.01).
