常用用法
- ignore的基本意思是“不顧,忽視”,指的是有意地忽視某人或某種現(xiàn)象,也指忽視了比較明顯的東西,甚至可指閉上眼睛不去看不想看的東西。用作及物動(dòng)詞,接名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ)??捎糜诒粍?dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)。
- ignore表示“不顧,忽視”時(shí),作及物動(dòng)詞,后可直接加賓語(yǔ),中間不需要介詞來(lái)連接。 返回 ignores

詞語(yǔ)辨析
- 試比較下面兩個(gè)句子:
- He was driving very fast because he was ignorant of the fact that there was a speed limit.
- 他因?yàn)椴恢烙袝r(shí)速限制,把車開得很 快。(不知道)
- He ignored the speed limit and drove very fast.
- 他不顧時(shí)速限制,把車開得很快。(知 道但不注意)
- 這三個(gè)詞都有“忽視,忽略”的意思。其區(qū)別是:
- ignore指有意忽視、不理睬。neglect指因不留心或遺忘而疏忽,有時(shí)也指故意不予注意。例如:
- Don't neglect to lock the door when you leave.你離開時(shí),不要忘記鎖門。
- Forgetting one or two small details is one thing, but neglecting the major responsibilities of your job is something else again.忘記一兩個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)是一回事,可是忽視你工作的主要職責(zé)又是另一回事了。
- overlook是指多出于無(wú)心或由于匆忙未能注意到而忽略做某事; 也指有意原諒、寬容別人的失誤。例如:
- In doing proof-reading,I overlooked a typing error.在校對(duì)時(shí)我看漏了一個(gè)打字錯(cuò)誤。
