用法辨析
- already的意思是“較早地”“提前”,可表示“比預想發(fā)生的時間早”,也可表示“比可能發(fā)生的時間早”,含有“想不到某事竟然已經(jīng)發(fā)生了”或“以為某事會晚一些發(fā)生”的意味。
- already一般用于肯定句中。與動詞搭配時,靜態(tài)動詞多用一般式,動態(tài)動詞多用完成式。表示與現(xiàn)在時間相比而已經(jīng)做過的事,即by this time,須用現(xiàn)在完成時; 表示與過去時間相比而已經(jīng)做過的事,即by that time,用過去完成時或過去進行時。already不用于一般將來時。
- already偶爾也可用于疑問式,或者表示驚訝、懷疑,或者表示期望〔預計〕有一個肯定的回答。
- already在句中一般位于主要動詞前面,系動詞或助動詞后面。為了強調(diào),可置于句末、句首或助動詞之前。
- already不用于比較等級。

- You use already to show that a situation exists at this present moment or that it exists at an earlier time than expected.
